Claire Lukey

Claire Lukey

Talent Partner

With over 25 years in recruitment, Claire has climbed the ladder from trainee to director and now co-founder of Yorkshire Talent Partners—a decision she made with Lisa, her partner-in-recruitment for over 15 years, in August 2023. From the moment they launched, Claire knew they were onto something special: a recruitment firm that focuses on doing things differently and delivering results without sacrificing relationships.

Claire’s specialty is professional services, and her passion lies in connecting people. For her, recruitment isn’t just about filling roles; it’s about building careers and businesses. Her work in Yorkshire has earned her a reputation for fostering lasting relationships with both clients and candidates.

Outside the office, Claire’s life is as full as her inbox. She’s married with three daughters, co-manages two additional successful businesses with her husband, and volunteers as a Listening Volunteer for Doncaster Samaritans—a role she finds deeply fulfilling. Currently, she’s working toward qualifying as a counsellor, proving her commitment to helping others goes well beyond recruitment.

When Claire finds a rare moment of downtime, she’s likely spending it with her family, walking, hitting the gym, or planning her next adventure. Her energy and dedication make her a driving force behind Yorkshire Talent Partners, as well as a trusted name in the industry.

Lisa Kirby

Lisa Kirby

Talent Partner

Lisa’s recruitment career spans over 30 years and has been a cornerstone of her life. She’s weathered it all—recessions, government shake-ups, and even a global pandemic—emerging stronger and still loving what she does. If there’s one thing Lisa’s learned, it’s that the recruitment world keeps you on your toes, but she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Her expertise lies in professional services, with a portfolio covering everything from high-volume contact center hires to placing finance directors and heads of HR. Lately, she’s been thriving in sales recruitment, matching businesses with their next sales superstars. Lisa has a knack for spotting talent and making the right connections, no matter the challenge.

After years of working alongside Claire, Lisa co-founded Yorkshire Talent Partners in August 2023. It wasn’t a leap of faith; it was the next logical step for two industry veterans who wanted to do things their way. With Sam joining shortly after, the trio has built a recruitment powerhouse rooted in relationships, respect, and a touch of irreverent fun.

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys life’s simple pleasures—spending time with her partner and family, sharing laughs, and making memories. She’s the kind of person who brings humour and heart into every room, whether she’s cracking jokes in a meeting or navigating the latest recruitment rollercoaster.

With Lisa, you get a recruiter who’s seen it all, done it all, and still has plenty of energy left for whatever comes next.

Sam Foster

Sam Foster

Talent Partner

Sam joined Yorkshire Talent Partners in March 2024, bringing with her an incredible 30 years of recruitment experience in Yorkshire. Her career has been shaped by a simple but powerful ethos: do right by others. For Sam, recruitment is about people, and she’s passionate about making every candidate and client feel valued and supported. It’s no surprise that she’s built many long-standing relationships she’s immensely proud of—some even spanning generations of the same families!

Over the years, Sam has specialised in finance and accountancy, manufacturing, and engineering recruitment, becoming a trusted advisor in these sectors. She’s always on hand to share insights, provide guidance, and go the extra mile to help clients and candidates succeed. For Sam, it’s never about the short-term win—it’s about earning trust and fostering partnerships that last.

Beyond recruitment, Sam cares deeply about her community. She’s proud that Yorkshire Talent Partners is a Cornerstone Employer, working with schools and colleges in South Yorkshire to help young people bridge the gap between education and industry. She truly believes in the power of small actions to make a big difference.

Outside of work, Sam is all about family and finding joy in the little things. You’ll often find her poolside, cheering on her daughters in water polo and artistic swimming. And if she’s not there, she might be playing her cornet with the Harworth Brass Band—a passion she reignited after a 32-year hiatus! (Yes, she’s heard all the jokes about band camp, and no, they don’t get old.)

Sam’s warmth, humor, and genuine care for others shine through in everything she does, making her an invaluable part of the Yorkshire Talent Partners team. Whether you’re a client or a candidate, with Sam, you’ll always feel like you’re in safe hands.
